Thyroid Health – Tips to Improve Thyroid Health


David Wolfe recently gave a talk on the Thyroid gland and it’s importance to your health at his recent Longevity Now Conference. I have summarized part of his talk here. I’m also including the video for those of you who would like to see it.

Your thyroid gland is one of the largest endocrine glands in the body. Keeping a healthy thyroid gland is essential as this gland acts as your body’s filter for much of the toxicity in your environment/diet.

The thyroid controls or has an effect on:

  • the amount of oxygen each cell uses
  • the rate at which your body burns calories
  • your heart rate
  • fertility
  • body temperature
  • memory

A thyroid imbalance can have a negative effect on any of the above.
The causes of a thyroid imbalance are:
-toxic environment
-pollution
-toxic diet
-lack of iodine
-heavy metals
-plastics
-pesticides
-goitrogens

Your thyroid gland is heavily vascularized. It has the most blood flow of any gland in your body. It is also the most negatively charged and therefore attracts all of the positively charged garbage (heavy metals, radioactive material, pesticides, etc.)

How to Protect Yourself:
