Now that the teabag party fad is all but over, how does it compare to other past fads?

While the teabag parties certainly did not have the longevity of past crazes such as slap bracelets, koosh balls, Tamagotchi and Sudoku, they inspired a passion among their fans, ‘teabaggers,’ similar to that seen during the Pokemon, pogs, Tickle-Me-Elmo and Beanie Baby fads.

As the nation moves on to a new ‘flavor of the month,’ where do the teabag rallies rank when compared to other fads of the past?

It is just a new name for the "America held hostage" crowd from the 90’s. They will fade into obscurity when a republican is in the white house. They will ignore his rampant spending and the next time a democrat gets elected there will be a resurgence under some new guise.

They just do what their pundits command basically.

I think it showed that not only are the people against big government still alive and well but this week at the G20 we witnessed a stronger anarchist movement as well who was not afraid of the police and government. I say good for them! Stop the government oppression of your rights and free will! Stop the oppression of "your choices" with the higher taxes, fees, fines, and penalties. It’s all a scam to make government and big business more money.

The Tea Parties are over. Culture Warrior has proclaimed it, therefore, it is so. All hail the omnipotent, great, and powerful Culture Warrior.
