“Raw Food” – Episode 23 – David Wolfe on Protein (Raw Food)

Raw Food: “Where do you get your protein?” It’s such a common question, especially for vegetarians, vegans and raw foodists. In spite of the fact that some of the world’s largest and strongest animals are vegetarian; like gorillas, elephants, buffalo and horses, many people still wonder how it’s possible to thrive on fruits and vegetables. In this episode, Jenna Norwood interviews raw food author and expert David Wolfe about some of the best sources of protein. You may be surprised what you’ll learn from this cutting-edge health researcher.

    you are not suppose …
you are not suppose to eat protein, which is is DEAD FOOD. one is suppose to eat fruit only. you are only suppose to eat what is raw and taste good to your taste buds, not what science has told you. who cares if spirulina has 70 %, we are not to take in any protein at all. Specially that much! Van Orden is the only guy on the money so far

    Xavier350,
$30 is a lot less than what you’ll end up losing when you get ill later on in life…..

    @Xavier350

    @Xavier350
    Flexseed is cheap

  5. Catherine8here says:

Well lets go for a …
Well lets go for a walk in the field and gets some spirilina, bee pollen, flax seed. Its natural and needed. NO! What am I saying, hang on I will get my credit card and phone???? Is it natural? Do we really need it? How about broccoli, kale?

  6. BaileyLush says:

    @Xavier350 There is …
@Xavier350 There is no other way to get it? I’ve been intrested, but haven’t got to really check into it:/ That is a shame!

  7. yashamill says:

    Yes.
    Yes.

  8. SCOTTDAVIDSON32 says:

    Is flower pollen …
Is flower pollen the same as bee polen?

  9. ANYONEMusiC says:

    MY friend Jenny …
MY friend Jenny courtney spent a week with dave and his cronies.. she is 19. she was shocked when they hit her up for 20,000 bucks to undergo “the program”.. then after she was shocked to see him down a tub of icecream, the cronies revealed that his fave food is LASAGNA !!! they also revealed that his product ORMIS (90 bucks per bottle) does nothing what-so-ever!!!! eat well, love nature, love your brother, and boycott this cunt… like we have.

  10. angelbe88 says:

    I think you would …
I think you would be surprised at who actually shows up at david’s seminars. People from all walks of life.

  11. yashamill says:

    Flower pollen is …
Flower pollen is cheaper and way better than spirulina, imo. Not only contains ALL essential aminoacids, but also more 20+ vitamins, 20+ minerals.

  12. christeneledoux says:

    I aree. Such a …
I aree. Such a shame. It was pricey in the US and the UK. Now that I’m in Austria it’s even worse. Shocking. Sadly health food stores/companies have to raise prices because although there are many of us raw/vegan/healthy whatever-type eaters, we’re still the minority and can’t support the system – the healthy system I mean. At least not yet. The world is still set up to live on processed/fast food. Sad.

  13. Xavier350 says:

    Shame spirulina …
Shame spirulina costs like $30 for a tiny bottle…

  14. truth95093 says:

    Ha!

    I saw this …
    Ha!

I saw this same guy at a Burger King in Lakeside California eating a hamburger, fries, and a soft drink.

    WTF ?! Fake hippie wannabe.

  15. 8stepsifu says:

    which is associated …
which is associated with liver cancer. How do we know that ancient Mexicans survived on algae? What was life expectancy? 40? They had turkeys, lots of them, they probably fed them algae and then ate the turkeys. Or maybe they had fish farms. Hard to say as the lake is long gone. I agree we should get a more varied and less meat focused diet. Eskimos have algae, why do they go for the whale blubber? Climate plays a roll as well.

  16. AlanKeyes2 says:

    Raw Gurus like …
Raw Gurus like David Wolfe sell alot of Expensive supplements that claim to be ‘raw’ and are loaded with all kinds of Nutrients.

My question is a simple one, just as we can all take our Water to a Facility to have it independently Tested and Analyzed as to its specific contents,

Is there any Place out there that Independently and Scientifically ‘tests’ Nutritional Products so that we can know if we are being lied to or not ?

I cant be the ONLY 1 asking this question and wondering !!!!

  17. mrsphelps25 says:

    Spuralina is Ok. …
Spuralina is Ok. But if you really, really want the best nutrition check AFA blue green algae. E3Live google it. They actually sale it fresh frozen, organic, 97% usable by the body. I talk to Raw Food experts all the time. I’m surprice David does not mention it.

  18. MarkovnikovismyDUDE says:

    lol…..I agree …
    lol…..I agree with you…….its laughable

  19. burkebryant says:

If you want to gain …
If you want to gain an audience and a appeal to a group of people you need to relate to them in what you say, and last time I checked most people can’t relate nor fathom relating to ancient civilizations and things that took place during the dawn of time. Perhaps this is why this lifestyle is still geared towards hippies, there minds are much more open than the lawyers and doctors of this world, but to make a change the lawyers and doctors are the ones that truly need to be sold.

  20. burkebryant says:

    If you want to …
If you want to cater to the world of today, and appeal to people other than hippies you’ll need to start using examples and statements that can be proven, shown and experienced now! ;)
    Cheers.

  21. burkebryant says:

    There are so many …
There are so many things to draw examples from other than outlandish statements like “around since the dawn of time” The world operates “this day and age” people want results and examples in the “now.” Also Complex chains of Amino Acids is what our body needs, if it’s easier to get them directly opposed to breaking down the bond of protein then why not remove the middle man?. Didn’t the nutritional and meat industry start the obtuse protein campaigns in the first place?

  22. MarkovnikovismyDUDE says:

    wow…seriously???? …
wow…seriously?????? I am not even going to waste my time….your point is pathetic.

  23. burkebryant says:

    The dawn of time? …
The dawn of time? This is my point exacly.. who was around during the dawn of time? I wish people were more responsible with the words when they speak to an area of people so vast.

  24. MarkovnikovismyDUDE says:

    uhhhm, last time I …
uhhhm, last time I checked micro villi absorb protein just fine…..its been done since the dawn of time chief.

  25. burkebryant says:

    Who cares about …
Who cares about protein? The body needs the amino acids not the bond “protein” which is hard for the human body to break down in the first place! Outside of that who was around for thousands of years proving that an entire civilization ate algae from the bottom of a lake? Please tell me people do there research before buying into any of this.
